Definition of profiles

• Ex-smokers are defined as respondents who answered “I used to smoke but I stopped”
• Non-smokers are defined as respondents who answered “I have never smoked”

For questions asked to all respondents, results are presented by comparing three profiles, which were defined according to respondents’ answers to the first question of the questionnaire:
Note on the sample size
• Smokers are defined as respondents who answered “I currently smoke regularly” or “I currently smoke occasionally”
The survey is based on a total sample of between 700 and 3300 respondents per country, depending on the country. Whenever a question was asked to a specific subsample, the specific base is described next to the graph, as well as the corresponding sample size. In cases where the sample size is below n50 respondents, results should be treated with caution.
